Pure Stingless Bee Honey (Kelulut) – Bright, Tangy Forest Honey
Stingless bee honey – often called Kelulut or Trigona honey – is what happens when tiny Meliponini bees turn rainforest flowers into a bright, tangy, almost fruit-acid honey. Instead of combs, they store their honey in resin-lined pods inside hollow logs and tree cavities, picking up subtle herbal and woody notes along the way.
These honeys are naturally more fluid and “sour-sweet” than most supermarket honeys, and research has highlighted their unique profile of organic acids, polyphenols and a rare sugar called trehalulose. Some studies suggest trehalulose-rich honeys may behave more gently on blood sugar than many common honeys – interesting news for people watching glycemic load, even though it doesn’t turn them into a medical treatment.
Our stingless bee collection gathers wild rainforest harvests such as Peninsular Jazz, Among the Greens, Up Hill Forest and Bright Tang. Each jar is raw, unblended and bottled in the USA from specific regions and bloom windows, so you can explore how different forests and seasons shape the flavor.
- Raw, small-batch Kelulut honey from Malaysian rainforest hives
- Distinctively bright & tangy – citrus, tropical fruit and herbal notes
- Trehalulose-rich honeys of scientific interest for their low-GI behavior
Sip it in warm tea, drizzle over fruit, or taste it straight from the spoon when you want something different from every “normal” honey you’ve ever tried.
