THE STORY OF GELAM HONEY
Gelam honey comes from the blossoms of Melaleuca cajuputi, a tea-tree and paperbark relative found in Malaysia’s coastal forest landscapes. This harvest is produced by Apis Dorsata bees foraging among wild Gelam forests along the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
The region’s sandy ground, coastal heat, native trees, and seasonal bloom cycle help create Gelam’s fragrant profile and distinctive sweet-bitter character. With only two main bloom periods each year, this is a limited, origin-led honey with a flavor all its own.
